Swingin’ at the Shell Music Series Begins Sunday, July 20
Make Albion your destination this summer for the eleventh annual Swingin’ at the Shell outdoor music series. This FREE concert series, held Sunday’s at 6 p.m. at the band shell of Victory Park, features an exciting variety of musical styles, with something for everyone!
The music and fun start July 20 and concludes September 14th with the Rhythm Society Orchestra. Full schedule includes:
- September 12 @ 7 p.m – Celebrate Albion w/Javier Colon (Winner of The Voice):
Celebrating the inauguration of Albion College President, Dr. Maury Ditzler
- September 14 – Rhythm Society Orchestra:
A swingin’ 15 piece big band specializing in music of the Great American Songbook as played by Glenn Miller, Harry James and Count Basie. In an instant you’ll be transported into the dance halls of the ‘30s and ‘40s doing a manic dip and twirl.
Bring your own chairs, blanket, and picnic supplies and come listen to some great local bands. Concerts will happen rain or shine and move into the Victory Park Pavilion depending on weather.
