We decided to add a little royalty this year and who better to reign over the musical court than Thornetta Davis, crowned “Detroit’s Queen of the Blues” in 2015 and winner of more than 30 Detroit Music Awards.
This multi-accomplished performer has a strong, smooth and melodic voice that’s only enhanced by her soulful band of Detroit musicians. From blues, to R&B, to rock, Thornetta does it all, performing across the Detroit area as well as internationally. From tours in Italy and performances at Blues festivals in Tunisia, Switzerland, Sweden, France, Norway, Germany, Holland, England and Canada, Thornetta has been exciting and wowing audiences worldwide. The praises and awards keep rolling in for her Honest Woman album, which recently netted another award: L’ adademie du Jazz Award for “Prix Blues Album.”
